Tips how to care for your skin while travelling

Well, I have some tips you can follow to keep your skin healthy and glowing while travelling. Let's check them out.

1. Stick to your skincare routine

Even when you're travelling, don't skip your usual skincare routine. This includes facial wash, toner, serum, moisturiser, sleeping mask, and more. Bring enough products and pack according to your needs. Make sure everything helps keep your skin healthy and beautiful.

2. Use a moisturiser

A facial moisturiser is an essential item to bring when travelling. This product helps keep skin hydrated and protected from the sun.

3. Apply sunblock or sunscreen

One way to care for your face while travelling is to apply sunscreen. Use sunscreen that suits your skin type. Choose from SPF 15, 30, or 50. This beauty product will help protect your skin from sun exposure.

4. Avoid touching your face too often

Many women have the habit of touching their faces without realising it, which can disrupt the health of their facial skin.

Your hands may come into contact with objects containing germs or bacteria; without realising it, you transfer them to your face. So, from now on, avoid touching your face too often, especially when you're out and about.

5. Don't use excessive makeup

When travelling, use as little makeup as possible. This will keep you looking fresh and naturally beautiful and make it easier to remove.

6. Always bring a sheet mask

From my experience, when travelling in hot places, your skin can sometimes feel sunburned or even dry in colder areas. I usually bring a sheet mask and use it at night after arriving at the hotel. At least it will help soothe your skin, which has been tired all day and exposed to sunlight and dust.

7. Use eye cream or eye moisturiser

Don't underestimate it, eye health is also important to maintain. So remember to always bring eye moisturiser when travelling to keep your eye health in check.

8. Avoid using hotel soap

This is an important skin care tip. If you forget your daily face wash, it's better to use warm water to rinse your dirty face with a tissue. Don't use hotel soap, as its ingredients may not be suitable for your facial skin, especially if the soap provided is multifunctional for both body and face washing.

9. Always remove makeup after going out

Remember to remove your makeup before going to bed. This will keep your facial skin healthy and fresh, especially after being out in the sun to remove dust and dirt that has accumulated. It also allows your facial skin to breathe freely without being blocked by makeup or dirt.

10. Don't rub your face

When traveling, your skin is often exposed to sunlight for extended periods, making it feel damp and oily. Never rub your skin with your hands or rough objects. This can cause irritation or even damage your skin, and may enlarge your pores.

What you can do is let it dry first if you're sweating. Then gently press a regular tissue or oil-absorbing tissue against your skin, just press, don't rub.

11. Bring a facial spray

Remember to always bring a facial spray to keep your skin fresh. When your face starts to feel less fresh, spray this refreshing liquid onto it.

12. Bring an exfoliator

This essential item shouldn't be forgotten, especially if you're travelling for an extended period. Since you'll spend more time outdoors and be exposed to sunlight for longer, your skin's health can deteriorate quickly. Even while on vacation, use an exfoliator to keep your skin healthy and glowing.
