My experience staying at Innside by Melia Yogyakarta
Initially, I decided to stay at this hotel because it has a private pool on the top floor of the building. I prefer swimming in places that are not too crowded. At the time, I searched for reviews, but there weren't many, probably because it was a new hotel. I almost didn't stay at this hotel because I had changed my plans to visit another city.
In the end, I decided to stay at this hotel first. I arrived at the hotel in the afternoon, and it was pretty quiet then. Only my friend and I checked in. What was my experience and impression of staying at this hotel?
1. Clean and comfortable rooms
After receiving the room key, I hurried in because I was still tired from visiting several tourist spots the previous day. The room wasn't spacious, but I had booked a standard, very comfortable one. The room was clean and fresh. Additionally, the lighting was excellent. This is a must for me, as I dislike dark hotel rooms.
2. Modern and minimalist room design
Since this hotel has a contemporary urban lifestyle concept, I appreciate that the rooms are designed in a minimalist and modern style. They're not too spacious and don't have too much space. Additionally, they're designed with neutral colours like white and grey, giving the room a warm and friendly atmosphere.
I didn't upload photos of the room because I was exhausted when I checked in, my legs were sore, and I just collapsed and fell asleep. There are a few photos, but they're a mess, hehehe.
3. Has a rooftop pool
One of the advantages of Hotel Innside that makes me feel comfortable staying here is that the hotel has a rooftop pool, which feels more private and cozy without the hustle and bustle of other guests. Only guests staying at the hotel can swim here, or guests who have purchased a special ticket for swimming. I took this photo the morning before the sun rose, when it was still quiet and had just been cleaned.
4. Beautiful city view and Mount Merapi scenery
When you swim on the rooftop, hotel guests can enjoy the beautiful city view during the day or at night. At the same time, you can enjoy the beauty of Mount Merapi. From this swimming pool, you can witness the captivating view of Merapi. Or in the evening, you can also enjoy the sunset here.
Luckily, I also got a room facing Mount Merapi directly. So from my hotel room, I could enjoy the iconic view of Mount Merapi in Yogyakarta.
5. Close to tourist destinations and other public facilities
One of the reasons I recommend this modern and luxurious hotel is that it is close to several famous tourist destinations in Yogyakarta, such as Ratu Boko Temple, Jogja Bay, Sambisari Temple, Malioboro, Affandi Museum, Prambanan Temple, and others.
In addition to being close to several tourist destinations, this hotel, located on the main road, is also close to several public facilities such as Maguwoharjo Stadium, Hartono Mall, and Ambarukmo Plaza. There is even a LotteMart just a few hundred meters away, so if you want to buy certain items, you can go directly to this place.
6. Close to Yogyakarta Airport
Another advantage of Hotel Innside by Melia Yogyakarta is its location in the same direction as Adi Soetjipto Airport in Yogyakarta. It is only about 2 km away. This makes it very easy to reach the airport if you arrive late at night, head straight to this hotel.
7. Complete facilities
As this is a 4-star hotel, the facilities are very complete. From laundry, gym or sports centre, swimming pool, valet parking, restaurant, pub or bar, salon, meeting room, airport transportation and other facilities guests need. Including a 24-hour front desk, they are ready to assist whenever and whatever you need. This makes guests feel more comfortable.
Unfortunately, when I stayed here, I mistakenly booked a hotel that didn't include breakfast. My friend chose to look for local Yogyakarta cuisine outside the hotel. So I didn't get to enjoy the food at this hotel.
Those are some advantages of Hotel Innside, perfect for lovers of modern and minimalist hotels. It's recommended as one of the hotels you can stay at when vacationing in Yogyakarta. Suitable for families, friends, or couples.
During my stay, we brought a vehicle. The parking area wasn't very spacious, not all parking areas had canopies at that time. This might not be a drawback for those who don't bring a vehicle. So it's not a problem.
